Green Chicken Curry – Tender chicken simmered in a vibrant, aromatic green masala for a flavorful and spicy delight.
For Chicken Marination:
500 g Licious Thighs Boneless
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 cup curd
For Green Paste:
1 cup onion (roughly chopped)
10–12 garlic cloves
1 tsp black peppercorns
3–4 green cardamoms
3–4 green chillies
A handful of fresh mint leaves
A handful of fresh coriander leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Water as needed
For Cooking:
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
Few curry leaves
Prepared green paste
Marinated chicken
1 tsp garam masala
Water as needed
1. In a bowl, mix chicken with turmeric, salt, and curd. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes for better flavour.
2. Blend onion, garlic, peppercorns, cardamom, green chillies, mint, coriander, cumin seeds, salt, and a little water into a smooth paste.Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves.Add the prepared green paste and sauté until it releases oil.Add marinated chicken and cook on medium flame until the chicken turns white and starts releasing juices.Add garam masala and required water for curry consistency.Cover and cook until chicken is tender and the curry is well blended with flavours.
